Bicycle smart ID and Blockchain for Bicycle identification and tracking

The NFT4BIKECHAIN project aims to create a Multimodular ICT Platform based on an advanced bicycle identification system created through the innovative application of NFT (Non Fungible Tokens) technology.
The Token that will be saved on a blockchain will contain the unique identification data of the bicycle along with other informations. These elements of the bicycle will constitute a unique identification and will be certified by uploading them into the BlockChain. Various functions necessary for the use of the identification will be made possible through the use of a mobile application for smartphones equipped with an NFC reader.

The project, in addition to improving post-sales management for manufacturing companies, allowing public identification of the bicycle via blockchain, intends to help discourage theft and allows the development of an incentive system for the use of the bicycle, enabling interesting use cases, one of which allows users to “certify” that they have arrived at a point of interest (PI) by bicycle and in doing so they trigger incentive and reward schemes (with NFC sensors), co-designed with various stakeholders in the trade.
